GraceKennedy (Belize) is involved in the importation and distribution of a wide range of food and non-food grocery items throughout the country under the “Grace” brand and other Grace owned brands such as Roma, Caribbean Choice, La Fe and Spring Time. Some third party brands distributed are Malher, Colgate-Palmolive, Benjamins, Devon, Suretox, Go!, Carib Beer, Mackeson Stout and Roses toilet tissues.
Some of the products distributed are manufactured in Belize through strategic partnerships with local manufacturers.
GraceKennedy (Belize) Ltd., located in Belize City, is considered to be the third largest food importer/distributor in Belize.
- Founded on January 12th 1982
- Started out of an invitation from the father of our nation – Rt. Honourable George Price to the Chairman & CEO of Gracekennedy Limited – Hon. Carlton Alexander to establish a business in Belize
- Mr. Rafael Diaz, Chief Finance Office for GraceKennedy at that time and who hails from Benque Viejo, was instrumental in getting the business started. He later became the CEO and Chairman of GraceKennedy Ltd.
- Commenced operation as a joint venture between Roberto Espat of Roses Paper Products and GraceKennedy Limited but became a 100% owned subsidiary of GraceKennedy Limited in 2012.
- From inception GKB has had an excellent relationship with the farming and fishing communities of Belize and was a major exporter to Jamaica and other CARICOM countries of marine products, Red Kidney Beans, Blackeye Peas and Citrus Concentrates.
